1. What is the average temp. in March?
It depends on the week of spring break but it is usually warm enough to lie out on the beach.

2. How much spending money should I bring?
On average, most students spend around $250.

3. Is there a bus system?
There is not a public bus system but there are many taxis, especially during spring break.

4. What is the legal drinking age? Are they strict on I.D.s?
The drinking age in Florida is 21 but you can get into the bars and clubs if you are at least 18. And yes, the bars and clubs are very strict on IDs.

5. Is there a damage deposit required by the hotel?
All hotels require a $50 per person deposit that is refundable at the end of the week provided there is no damage to the room.

6. Where is Panama City?
Panama City is located in the panhandle of Florida, two hours west of Tallahassee.

7. Does our package include transportation to Panama City?
No transportation is included so you will need to get down there on your own.

8. Is there good shopping in Panama City?
The town of Panama City has malls and shopping but you’ll be in Panama City Beach, which is about a 15 minute drive to town.

9. Are there lots of restaurants and fast food places near our hotel?
There are several fast food chains and small restaurants that are within walking distance to many hotels.

10. Do the rooms have kitchens?
Many of our hotel rooms offer kitchens but it is based on availability. Please call our office for details.

11. Will we have an oceanview room?
Oceanview rooms are not guaranteed.

12. Will we have a balcony?
Several rooms have balconies but again, this is not guaranteed.

13. Is there a safe in our room?
Not all the rooms have safes but many times you can keep your valuables in a safe at the front desk.

14. What time do the bars close?
Most of the bars close at 4:00 am.

15. Will MTV be there?
Although MTV has been to Panama City in the past, we don’t know because they don’t release this information until closer to March.

16. What are the beaches like?
The beaches are great with white sand and calm waters.

17. Does our hotel have a pool?
All the hotels we offer do have pools.

18. Will we have a swim-up bar?
The hotels in Panama City do not have swim-up bars but they do have pool bars.

19. How much are cover charges?
Cover charges depend on the bar but range anywhere from $5-$20. Keep in mind that our package includes discounts on cover charges!

20. Do we have any discounts on drinks?
Absolutely! We have parties set up at the big clubs and bars where you’ll have great drink specials. You’ll also have some hours where you’ll have free beer!

21. How are the rooms set up? Is it a suite?
The hotels we offer have standard rooms, not suites, and differ in set-up according to the number of people in your room. Please call us for details.

22. Can we drink and party in our room?
Although you can drink in your room (if you’re 21), we advise that you take your partying to the pool and bars. Remember that you put down a damage deposit and if anything happens to your room, you stand to lose some or all of your deposit.

23. Can we have visitors to our hotel?
Most of the hotels are fine with visitors but some hotels do not allow guests. Make sure you know the hotel’s policy before you bring people to your room

24. What is the nightlife like in Panama City?
This is the most popular spot in Florida for spring break! There are huge clubs and bars that really cater to the students. Panama City is home to Club La Vela, the largest beach club in the United States. Other big spots include Spinnaker, Harpoon Harry’s, Sharky’s and Hammerhead Fred’s.

25. Do you provide a map to Panama City?
Visit MapQuest to get directions to your hotel. The address will provided with your final documents.

26. Do we get any meals?
No meals are provided but if your room has a kitchenette, go to the grocery store and stock up on some small things.

27. How many people can we fit in a room?
Our packages offer several options so you should be able to accommodate your entire group. Don’t plan on having more people in your room than you signed up because the hotel can kick you out if they catch you!

28. Do you offer any deals with airfare?
Unfortunately, we don’t set up any airfare so you will have to do that on your own.

29. Are we allowed to have radios in our rooms?
It is best to leave these at home because the hotels like to keep the noise to a minimum.

30. Do you have to be 21 to reserve a room?
You don’t have to be 21 to book a room except at the Summit Condos. We deal primarily with college students and hotels are well aware of this fact.

31. Can we drink on the beach?
Panama City allows you to take cans on the beach, but no bottles!

32. Do we have to check in on or scheduled date?
If your group is going to be late checking in, please contact the hotel the day before you are supposed to arrive and let them know your situation.

33. If we choose to fly, into what airport do we fly?
You can fly into Panama City although it’s a smaller airport and only a few airlines service it.

34. Do the rooms with kitchens have pots and pans?
The hotels do provide these items, but some require a deposit (approx. $25) for use of them.

35. Can we request rooms next to one another or in a specific part of the hotel?
We don’t assign the rooms because this is done as you check in to your hotel. You can certainly make requests to the hotel and they’ll do their best to accommodate your group.
